Burger Steak in mushroom gravy sauce

Burger steak…I am thinking of “langhap sarap”..Gush, I miss this food… I remember when I was working in SM megamall, at lunch time, I always look for a meal that will suits my budget…and this is one of those…a cheap meal but quite satisfying…Did you know that Mushrooms are excellent source of potassium, a mineral that helps lower elevated blood pressure and reduces the risk of stroke.

In the plate:

  • 2 pcs burger steak
  • mushroom gravy
  • 1 cup steamed rice
  • buttered veggies

Burger Ingredients:

  • 500 gms minced beef
  • 2 cloves chopped garlic
  • 1 med minced onions
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • salt & pepper to taste


  • In a bowl, mix all ingredints together and form a patties at approx 80-100 gms each
  • your choice of cooking methon will be, pan fry or grill.

Mushroom gravy:

  • 1/2 cup drippings
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 cups water
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 50 gms butter
  • 50gms mushroom slice


  • brown flour in a sauce pan using a low heat then add butter to make a rue…add in drippings and 1 cup water.let it boil.
  •  combine flour and the remaining water. seasoned with salt & pepper..and soy sauce for a little coloring effect. adjust texture or thickness by adding little by little water, continue string until cooked. add mushrooms.
  • Enjoy!!!
