GP chicken bbq / Inasal


Hello there…. lately my wife is craving for bbq and we are in the process of having a trial of bbq sauce, bbq marinade until we decided to use our own brand GP Garlic Vinegar Dip and Marinade… you can pls order here.. https://gpkitchen.co.nz/product/garlic-chili-vineger-dip-marinade/ it turns out so good and delicious. And most of all easy to prepare and execute. Im very happy to share you our homemade chicken bbq recipe

Ingredients
4 chicken drumstick
4 chicken wings
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp achuette powder
4 tbsp GP garlic vinegar marinade dip
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp soy sauce

Procedures:
In a bowl, mix all ingredients and marinate chicken 12 hours or over night.
Grill in charcoal or pan grilled.
Serve hot with a GP marinade and dip sauce on the side.

Kid’s Party Chicken Barbeques


kids barbequed wings (683x1024)Kid’s Chicken Barbeque…………Still part of my daughter’s kids menu, I already post starter’s such as “fried wonton and vegetable sticks” and posted desserts such as fruit kebab and kids cupcake. Now lets go with my kid’s little main dish. Barbecue wings. (oooppss, sorry it’s not in order, should be starter, salad, main and desserts etc).  As we all know, most of the children can not say no to barbecues, we’ll my daughter can’t! To attract the children’s palate, I used banana ketsup as add-ons to my marinade mix, banana ketsup simply have a very good smell and sweet flavor once you grill your chicken barbeque. Must try!…………………………….Did you know that chicken is rich in selenium, another antioxidant-rich nutrient. Selenium in chicken has been shown to induce DNA repair in damaged cells and eliminate abnormal cells. This nutrient also activates an important antioxidant vital in cancer prevention, known as glutathione peroxidase, from proteins. Consuming chicken may help in the prevention of cancers.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 kilogram chicken wings – cut in half
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup sprite or soda
  • 1/2 cup banana ketsup
  • 1 tbsp lemon or calamansi juice
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • salt & pepper to taste

Procedures:

  • in a container, mix all ingredients except pork meat. mix well then add in chicken and rubbed evenly
  • Best grilled using charcoal. or just simply use oven barbeque.
  • best marinate for atleast 3 hours before grilling. brush the remaining marinade mix upon grilling your bbq..
  • Enjoy!!

Wicked Wings


Chicken Wings………who can say no to a simple fried chicken, well I cant! This is my version of kfc’s wicked wings. My recipe has a twist of spicy and salty. Yuummmm haaaa!!!!!

Ingredients:

– 1 kilo chicken wings or nibbles
– 1 cup flour
– salt, pepper, cayenne, egg and milk powder
– oil for frying

Procedures:

In a deep frying pan, heat oil and fry chicken until golden brown. You can served with gravy or a just a ketsup…. Enjoy!!!!!

Chicken Wings in chilli soy bean sauce


Chicken wings…………….How spicy can you go? This chicken wings is very similar to preparation of buffalo wings. If you run out of an idea and want to add a very good starter or appetizer while having a drink of beer, wine or hard drinks. This is a good idea. Just fried the chicken and toss with chilli and soy bean sauce. If you are having a yam cha at home with friends, this is a a quick add-ons to your yam cha menu. We just had a yam cha of steamed bok choy, pork siomai, chicken feet and this chicken wings with chilli soy bean sauce……………………….Did you know that soy bean paste often is used as a vegetable dip like Westerners use with celery and carrot sticks. However, it’s more common uses are as a stock for soups or stews or when mixed with other ingredients like sesame oil and garlic. Some consume this soy bean paste with grilled meat wrapped in a vegetable leaf such as red lettuce. Soy bean paste is one of the most popular korean ingredients.

Ingredients: serves 4-6 persons

  • 6 pcs chicken wings (cut into half)
  • oil for frying
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup soy bean paste
  • 1 tbsp seasoning soy sauce
  • dash of sesame oil

Procedures:

  • Seasoned chicken with salt and pepper
  • In a deep fryer, fry chicken until golden brown. set aside
  • In a mixing bowl with cover, stir in soy bean paste, seasoning soy sauce and sesame oil. Add in chicken wings and toss with the sauce. you can cover and shake well.
  • Serve with yam cha or as an appetizer.

Bbq Chicken Wings


bbq……..Who can resist a chicken barbecue? If you can, well I can’t!!!! Its my favourite! We, Filipinos loves to eat barbecue especially when there is a family or group outing, barbecue on the beach, on the park or even barbecue at hone. For me, the best part of chicken when it comes to barbecue is probably the “wings”. Aside from its easy to be cooked, I like deboning while eating it. Believe it or not, my little daughter can finished this chicken barbecue wings (yes, as shown on the picture) . How about you? Do you love barbecue?………………………. Ingredients: makes 12-15 skewers

  • 1 kilogram chicken wings – cut in half
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup sprite or soda
  • 1 tbsp lemon or calamansi juice
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
Dipping sauce:
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 vinegar
  • 1 small shallots chopped
  • 2 pcs chopped chillies
  • 2 pcs minced garlic
  • salt and pepper

Procedures:

  • in a container, mix all ingredients except pork meat. mix well then add in chicken and rubbed evenly
  • place 4 pcs of chicken wings meat on a skewer(bamboo stick should be soaked to water for at least 2 hours to prevent from burning)
  • best marinate for atleast 3 hours before grilling. brush the remaining marinade mix upon grilling your bbq..
  • Enjoy!!

Pan Fried Chicken Wings


It’s our favourite appetizer in a Vietnamese restaurant here in NZ. A simple dish to start your meal. Their appetizer menu consist of Vietnamese spring roll, pork barbeque and some salads and many more. Usually this is my daughters meal as she eats this with a bowl of steamed rice. How about you guys, What’s your favourite appetizer? in your favourite restaurant?……………Did you know that lemongrass has amazing medicinal properties and is used since ages. As this grass helps to get rid of fever,  it is also known as fever grass. Lemon grass can be included in diet in many ways. Many people make use of lemon grass oil to add its flavour to food. It can also be consumed in form of tea by boiling it with water and sugar. It gives a good flavour when added to normal tea along with ginger. You can also prepare an extraordinary and medicinal drink with lemon grass. Just take few fresh strands of lemon grass, two to three cloves, a small piece of cinnamon stick, and turmeric powder and boil it with milk. After this mixture is properly boiled, drain it and drink it when it cools down to get relief from cough and cold.

Ingredients: good for 3-4 persons

  • 12 pieces chicken nibbles
  • 2 stalks lemongrass chopped
  • 1 thumb size ginger minced
  • 1 small shallots
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • salt & pepper
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • oil for frying

Procedures:

  • In a bowl, combine soy sauce, salt & pepper and chicken. rub evenly and marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes.
  • In a small teflon, heat oil and saute shallots, ginger, lemongrass and fish sauce. set aside.
  • In a pan, heat oil and fry chicken until golden brown. set aside.
  • To serve, you can toss chicken and lemon grass mixture or you can on the side.
  • Serve hot! Enjoy!!
